Lee Young-pyo Calls Out Same-Age Jeon Hyun-moo's Shorts; Jeon Says, "A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing"
On KBS2's "Boss in the Mirror," Lee Young-pyo critiqued Jeon Hyun-moo's casual outfit while preparing for 2026 World Cup coverage.
KBS football commentator Lee Young-pyo pointed out the outfit worn by Jeon Hyun-moo, who is the same age as him, on the June 7 broadcast of KBS2's "Boss in the Mirror." Lee appeared on the program as a "new boss" and opened up the process of preparing for KBS's coverage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North and Central America.

Ahead of the broadcast preparations, Lee met with KBS executives and officials from the broadcaster's sports department to strengthen his resolve. He also revealed his commentary notes, which were densely filled with color-coded memos, showing the meticulous preparation he had put into the assignment.
Later, when Jeon Hyun-moo entered the studio for commentary practice, Lee immediately made a comment about his clothing. Looking at Jeon, who was dressed in shorts and a short-sleeved T-shirt, Lee said with a serious expression, "I think clothing is attitude. I do not like the shorts and short-sleeved T-shirt. I think we need to start controlling the dress code."
Jeon responded right away by bending at the waist and saying, "I'm sorry."
The two then practiced their commentary rhythm using footage from a friendly match between South Korea and the United States. Lee advised him, "A caster does not need to explain every scene. A brief silence is better than unnecessary words or impurities."
Jeon later exposed his thoughts on Lee, saying, "Lee Young-pyo is a friend who can drive me into a corner and put me in a difficult spot. I think once we become close, he will reveal his true colors. He is like a wolf in sheep's clothing."
Lee also shared the love story of marrying his first love. Speaking about his family, he showed a conservative side by saying, "My eldest daughter is in her third year of university, and I think it would still be hard for me to accept a boyfriend."
