Ok-sun of 'I Am SOLO' Season 24 claims unpaid fees; production denies

While Ok-sun, a participant from Season 24 of the ENA and SBS Plus dating reality show 'I Am SOLO,' claims she has not received appearance fees, the production team has clarified that "all appearance fees for the program in question have been fully paid."

Although controversy erupted regarding the settlement of appearance fees, it was revealed that the unpaid program mentioned by Ok-sun is not 'I Am SOLO' or any of its related content.

The 'I Am SOLO' production team officially told STARNEWS on the 6th, "The appearance fees for Season 24 Ok-sun have been paid in full."

Further investigation revealed that the unpaid appearance fee issue Ok-sun mentioned on SNS pertains to a program separate from her appearances in 'I Am SOLO,' 'I Am SOLO, Love Continues,' and 'Jijigo Bokneun Yeohaeng.'

Previously, Ok-sun drew attention by sharing her experience regarding appearance fee settlements via SNS on the 5th.

She claimed, "There is an appearance fee I haven't received for over a year," adding, "I thought the fee would come in about two months after filming, but even after several months, it had not been deposited."

She explained her situation at the time, saying, "I heard that there are cases in the broadcasting industry where appearance fees are not paid, so I even thought about just letting it go and not receiving it."

However, she stated that the issue resurfaced after she received a recruitment call from the production team of that specific program.

Ok-sun shared, "When I told the PD that I still hadn't received the fee for the first filming, I heard the response, 'I thought it was paid. Talk to the person in charge regarding the payment of appearance fees.'" She continued, "I went through a second filming afterward, but it still hasn't been settled."

The issue of appearance fee settlements for broadcast participants is a recurring problem in the industry. In particular, for celebrities or general public participants working as freelancers, conflicts often arise during the payment process depending on contract structures and production company circumstances.

Since appearing on 'I Am SOLO,' Ok-sun has made a name for herself through various variety programs, including 'I Am SOLO, Love Continues' and 'Jijigo Bokneun Yeohaeng.' This controversy over unpaid fees is a separate issue involving a specific production team and program, and attention is now focused on further developments regarding the settlement process.
