I Am SOLO's Ok-sun announces divorce 3 months after remarriage

Ok-sun, who rose to fame during the divorcee special of 'I Am SOLO' Season 16, has announced her separation just three months after announcing her remarriage. The couple, who had already completed their marriage registration, decided to go their separate ways after extensive deliberation and conversation.

On the 20th, Ok-sun posted a lengthy message on her SNS to personally share the news of her divorce.

Explaining the circumstances, Ok-sun said, "Last March, I shared the news of my marriage and also mentioned that we decided not to hold a wedding ceremony." She continued, "At that time, we had already completed our marriage registration, but my parents, upon learning this, told me that since I had already gone through great pain once before, I should not rush this time and should think more slowly and carefully."

Ultimately, she accepted her parents' advice and proceeded to dissolve the marriage registration.

She noted that they attempted to maintain their relationship following the registration. "After that, we lived well by each other's side as usual," Ok-sun said. "However, as time passed, small differences began to emerge between us, and each time, we tried to adjust to one another and had many conversations."

But after continuous deliberation, they decided to end the relationship.

Ok-sun emphasized, "After long deliberation and conversation, we decided to go our separate ways. It is not because of one person's fault, nor is it a relationship that ended while harboring hatred or bad feelings toward each other."

She added, "We are grateful for the time we spent together and the affection we received from each other, and we have decided to part on good terms, sincerely rooting for each other to be happier in our respective places."

She also apologized regarding the donation plan she had promised to fans at the time of her remarriage. When announcing her marriage last March, Ok-sun had expressed her intention to share the costs that would have been spent on a wedding ceremony with those who supported her.

Regarding this, she stated, "It was a promise I truly wanted to keep, but due to unexpected changes in circumstances afterward, I was unable to proceed as planned. I am sorry for not being able to keep my promise."

She also shared her feelings about delivering such contrasting news of marriage and separation in such a short period. While saying, "My heart is heavy and I am cautious about delivering this news again in such a short time," Ok-sun stated, "Since this is a decision made by both of us after sufficient discussion, we have decided to respect each other's choice and future lives."

Ok-sun from Season 16 announced her remarriage to a non-celebrity man last March. At the time, her husband was also a divorcee and was known to have experienced bereavement. The couple announced their new beginning by revealing their newlywed life through SNS after marriage, but they ended the relationship in just three months.

While the marriage began by mutual agreement, the separation was also a choice made after careful consideration by both parties. Although speculations regarding the specific reasons for the short remarriage may follow, Ok-sun concluded the breakup by repeatedly emphasizing that the relationship did not end due to anyone's fault and by rooting for each other's future.
