Park Bo Mi plans for third child after losing first son

Actress and former comedian Park Bo Mi has revealed her plans to conceive a third child just nine months after giving birth to her second daughter.

Recently, Park candidly shared her weight loss progress and her preparations for a third pregnancy via SNS.

"When I was pregnant with Sieun, I reached 80kg, and after giving birth, I dropped to 67kg, but the weight hasn't wanted to go down any further since then," she stated. "I felt like I would go up to 90kg if I had a third child, so I made the big decision to start dieting first to lose weight before taking on the challenge."

She added, "It has been almost two months, and I have lost 9kg, with only 3kg left to reach my goal. Even I think I've been really determined this time."

The photos she shared showed her looking much slimmer after childbirth. Her progress in losing weight healthily while preparing her body for a third child has drawn significant attention.

Park married former soccer player and coach Park Yo-han in 2020 and had her first son, Simon, in 2022. However, in 2023, she drew widespread sympathy when she suddenly lost her son, who was 15 months old at the time.

Recalling those moments during a broadcast, she tearfully confessed, "In the early morning, as we were heading to the emergency room because the child had a fever, he suffered a seizure in my arms and lost consciousness. We performed CPR at a nearby fire station, but his heart did not beat again."

Afterward, Park successfully became pregnant again through IVF treatment and welcomed a new hope last October when she held her second daughter, Sieun, in her arms.

Currently raising her second daughter, she revealed her plans for a third child ahead of the child's upcoming first birthday, expressing her deep desire to grow her family.

Overcoming her pain to continue her daily life, Park is receiving immense support as she steadily prepares to welcome a new life through healthy living.
