'Witch With a Wok' Chef Lee Moon-jung has revealed her recent transition to freelance life after leaving the 5-star hotel she served for 25 years.

On the KBS 2TV show 'Malja Show' aired on the 27th, Chef Jeong Ho-young and Chef Lee Moon-jung appeared as guests to share their stories. During the broadcast, Lee surprised the audience by revealing, "I recently became unemployed."
She explained, "I joined in 2001 and worked at one hotel for 25 years. I resigned this past February, and I am now in my fifth month of working as a freelancer." She also spoke candidly about why she left such a stable career after 25 years.
"As I approach my mid-50s, I felt it was time to make a move under my own name," Lee explained. "I wanted to take on a new challenge before it was too late."
Along with her new beginning, she shared her confident ambitions. "I want to say, 'Step aside, Chef Jung Ji Sun, your unnie is here,'" she said, bursting into laughter, before adding, "Chef Jung Ji Sun is the only chef I truly acknowledge and respect."
She continued with witty remarks that filled the studio with laughter, adding, "I believe I have skills that are just as good. I mean, 'Please step aside, Jung Ji Sun. Let's go for it together, unnie.'"
Having concluded her long hotel career to embark on a new challenge as a freelance chef, Lee plans to engage with the public through various broadcasts and activities. Attention is gathering around her bold determination and future steps.
