Creator Park Wi, who recently drew criticism for releasing CCTV footage of a KTX accident, is facing renewed scrutiny over a KTX boarding video from four years ago. As a scene where a station staff member bows to Park while he boards a train using a wheelchair lift resurfaces, a heated debate is unfolding regarding his content production methods and his attitude toward others, intertwined with his recent controversy.

Recently, a portion of a video titled "How a person with paraplegia rides the KTX," which Park released on his YouTube channel 'Weracle' in August 2022, has been circulating again across online communities and SNS. The video was produced as informative content introducing the necessary procedures and the actual boarding process for wheelchair users using the KTX.

In the video, Park explains that a wheelchair lift can be requested through an application and then boards the train with the help of a station staff member. The video also captures in relatively detail the process of the staff member installing the lift and supporting the boarding to assist the wheelchair user's movement.

The controversial part is the moment Park boards the train. In the video, after helping Park board via the lift, the station staff member bows to him in greeting. In contrast, Park is shown waving to the camera before moving into the train.

This scene did not lead to any significant controversy when the video was first released. However, as the recent controversy regarding the release of CCTV footage related to a KTX fall accident erupted, past videos have been resurfaced, and some netizens are viewing Park's past behavior through the lens of the current controversy.

However, it is difficult to conclude that Park did not express gratitude to the staff member based solely on the short scene appearing in the video. There is a possibility that separate greetings took place before or after the filming, or in segments edited out of the video. Therefore, some point out that it is necessary to be cautious about defining Park's entire character based only on a specific moment captured in the video.

The starting point of this controversy is the KTX fall accident that occurred on the 14th. Park stated that while using a ramp installed for wheelchair movement during the process of disembarking the train, an accident occurred where his wheelchair wheels got caught in the foot of a social service agent, causing him to fall.

Park subsequently released the CCTV footage of the accident through his YouTube channel 'Weracle.' The video included not only the scene of Park falling but also the moment the social service agent on the scene immediately after the accident apologized to him.

Regarding the situation at the time, Park acknowledged that the social service agent did not cause the accident intentionally, but expressed his position that he felt considerable displeasure at the act of placing a foot on the ramp itself. He explained that his intention was to raise public interest in issues such as the safety and mobility rights of people with disabilities.

However, criticism was raised on a different level regarding the method of disclosure.
