Shinhwa's Lee Min-woo Hurts His Back on First Day of Honeymoon with Wife: "Not Even Worth the Oyster Bill"

Shinhwa member Lee Min-woo left for a long-awaited honeymoon with his wife, Lee A-mi, on the June 6 broadcast of KBS2's Men Who Do Housework Season 2. The couple headed to Penghu Island in Taiwan, two months after getting married.

The trip was made possible with support from Lee Min-woo's mother, who had promised that she would send the couple on a honeymoon once their second child had grown a little more. Keeping that promise, she encouraged her daughter-in-law and even gave her spending money for the trip. She also said she would look after the couple's two children while they were away.

Lee A-mi admitted that she felt uneasy about leaving the children behind. Even so, with her mother-in-law's encouragement, she decided to go ahead with the honeymoon. Her concern did not disappear once the trip began, however. As soon as the couple arrived at the airport, she repeatedly contacted home to check on the children.

After arriving on Penghu Island, Lee Min-woo and Lee A-mi visited a well-known oyster restaurant. Looking at his wife, Lee Min-woo asked, "Are oysters good for stamina? Should we try making a Penghu baby?"

The couple kept adding more orders and ended up eating eight servings of oyster dishes alone. Lee A-mi expressed how happy she was to share the meal with him, saying, "It has been such a long time since I sat across from you and ate like this."

On the first night of the honeymoon, Lee Min-woo quickly finished his shower, brought out wine, and tried to create a romantic mood. When his wife appeared in a shower robe, he seemed ready to enjoy a sweet moment together, but the night did not unfold as he had hoped.

Lee Min-woo, who had spent the day talking about stamina food and showing his anticipation, gave an awkward laugh when the mood failed to build naturally. Then, as he tried to lift his wife in his arms with confidence, an unexpected accident occurred: he strained his lower back.

At the end of the broadcast, a preview teased the second part of the couple's honeymoon story, which is set to be revealed next week. In the preview, Lee A-mi left Lee Min-woo with the pointed remark, "You were not even worth the oyster bill."
