Yoon Nam-no Opens Apgujeong Restaurant: 'All My Salary Goes to Loan Interest'

On the 6th, 'The Cooking Crazy Person' Yoon Nam-no appeared on MBC 'The Manager' and shared news of his recent life as an owner chef.

Yoon Nam-no met an acquaintance who runs a brunch cafe in Seongsu-dong and lamented, "It is so hard. Yesterday, while filling the wine cellar, I realized I have no money."

When the acquaintance asked, "How much of a loan did you take?" Yoon Nam-no replied, "It is 600 million won." The acquaintance wore a worried expression, noting, "And it's even in Apgujeong-dong."

Yoon Nam-no revealed that he opened his own shop at the end of April and disclosed that due to financial difficulties, he has been relying on fellow chefs to buy him meals. He confessed his tight financial situation, saying, "When eating with friends, even ordering a single cola felt like such a waste. In the past, I would tell them to drink all the beverages they wanted, but now I occasionally ask, 'Do you really have to drink cola at this timing?'"

His restaurant was also revealed. While organizing the shop, which is not yet fully open, with his staff, the tableware caught the eye. It was mentioned that the total cost of the tableware alone is approximately 30 million won.

When asked what would happen if he broke something while washing dishes, Yoon Nam-no replied, "I just broke one right now. The one I broke is worth 340,000 won." Regarding the reason for preparing expensive plates, he expressed the ambitions of a high-end restaurant owner chef, saying, "It was my dream. Since I was doing French cuisine, I wanted to convey that same sensibility to the guests. I don't have plates at home. I wanted to do at least at my restaurant what I desired."

Lee Young Ja asked, "As the representative, doesn't your heart race when payday comes?" Yoon Nam-no replied, "It's not that I feel regretful when sending out salaries. But I do wonder if this much money is really going out. There is no salary for me. It all goes toward the loan interest."
