Chef Jung Ji Sun reveals why she always wears eyeliner
Known for her charisma on 'Culinary Class Wars,' Chef Jung Ji Sun shares the personal reason behind her signature eyeliner look.
Chef Jung Ji Sun, who left a powerful impression on the public through 'Culinary Class Wars,' has revealed her unique beauty philosophy. Interest grew as she disclosed the personal complexes and self-care habits hidden behind the charisma she displays while cooking.

On the July 31 broadcast of KBS 1TV's 'Morning Yard - Quiz Show! A Thousand Years,' Jung appeared alongside Chefs Jeong Ho-young, Kim Do-yoon, and Kang Leo to share her stories.
During the broadcast, a quiz question was posed: "No staff member has ever seen Chef Jung Ji Sun's bare face." Chef Kim Do-yoon chose 'X' as the answer, as Jung is known for rarely revealing her face without makeup.
The reason for her constant makeup was unexpectedly "eyeliner."
Jung brought laughter to the set when she revealed, "I am the type of person who even draws eyeliner when I go out to take out the trash." She further shared the challenges of maintaining her style while traveling, noting, "When I go on overseas business trips, situations arise where I inevitably have to share a room [with others]."
Chef Jeong Ho-young shared an even more specific anecdote, causing waves of laughter by exposing, "I went out for a run in the morning during an overseas business trip, and she was wearing nothing on her face except for eyeliner."\p>
Jung opened up about the honest reason she insists on eyeliner, explaining, "Because of a complex about my eyes, I wanted to look strong."
For Jung, whose trademark is an intense gaze and commanding charisma, eyeliner is more than just a cosmetic; it is a way to project confidence.
However, fellow guest Kang Leo pointed out her unexpected charm, noting, "The charisma is already built-in. I think she just wants to look strong even though she is cute."
In addition to discussing her appearance, Jung revealed unexpected hardships regarding her culinary career. She disclosed that she has a shrimp allergy, stating, "80% of the ingredients used in my restaurant are shrimp, so I have no choice but to take medicine while working."
Just as many chefs push past their limits to achieve taste and perfection, Jung has continued to lead her kitchen by overcoming her own physical weaknesses.
Loved for her piercing gaze, charismatic image, and cool-headed culinary philosophy, Jung's eyeliner is more than mere decoration; it is her personal way of building resilience.
