Shoo expands cosmetics business with exports to Bangladesh
Former S.E.S. member Shoo is expanding her cosmetics business into global markets, most recently announcing the shipment of products to Bangladesh.

Former S.E.S. member Shoo is continuing her new path as a cosmetics entrepreneur. After facing significant setbacks to her career due to legal punishment for habitual gambling in the past, she is now targeting overseas markets with her own cosmetics brand. Having expressed her intention to expand globally starting with Vietnam, Shoo has now shared news of exports to Bangladesh, revealing her current business activities by showing herself personally packing and preparing products for shipment.

On the 20th, Shoo posted on her social media, "Our cosmetics, which started with overseas exports and are now receiving much love domestically, are heading to far-off Bangladesh today." She introduced products including Centella ampoules, Centella cream, and Daily Light Centella hydrogel mask packs, noting, "Fully loaded and shipment complete." She added her hope that the products arrive safely without damage to provide local consumers with comfortable skin rest and a healthy glow.
The released photos show Shoo personally packing her brand's cosmetics for overseas shipment. Rather than relying on her name as a celebrity, the images reveal the daily life of an entrepreneur carefully preparing each product for delivery. By introducing the products heading to Bangladesh, Shoo signaled the brand's growth potential by announcing that overseas exports are continuing.
In March, Shoo had previously revealed the process of preparing her cosmetics business. She stated that she had spent the past year deeply studying, seeing, hearing, and feeling the world of cosmetics, pouring all her senses into the preparation. She explained that she struggled to find the brand's unique identity through numerous meetings and business trips, researching both products and the market before launching the new line.
At that time, Shoo expressed her ambition to create a brand loved in various regions around the world, starting with Vietnam in April. Her intention was to promote Korean beauty to more consumers amid the growing interest in K-beauty and K-culture. The news of the Bangladesh shipment demonstrates that the overseas expansion plan she announced is translating into actual business activities. However, as specific export volumes or sales performance have not been disclosed, it is difficult to conclude the overall success of the business.
The background of Shoo's new challenge is rooted in past controversies. From August 2016 to May 2018, she was taken to trial on charges of habitual gambling involving hundreds of millions of won in overseas locations, including Macau. In February 2019, she was sentenced to six months in prison, suspended for two years, and 80 hours of community service. For a celebrity who was once beloved by the public, the gambling incident inevitably remained a significant burden on her image and activities.
Shoo married former basketball player Lim Hyo-sung in 2010, and they have one son and two daughters. While she once faced public criticism, she is now expanding her field of activity through her cosmetics business. Although past mistakes are not erased solely by business moves, her current achievements require evaluation through actual business content and results.
Having personally shared the news of the cosmetics shipment to Bangladesh, attention is focused on how much the brand, which has been prepared with the goal of entering overseas markets, can grow stably. It remains to be seen whether Shoo, who is attempting to establish herself as an entrepreneur beyond entertainment activities, can turn this global move into continuous results.
