Gu Hye-seon Launches New Pouch One Month After Selling 10,000 Price-Debated Hair Rolls
Actress Gu Hye-seon revealed a self-designed pouch after registering its design, following strong sales of her patented portable hair roll.
Actress Gu Hye-seon has introduced a new product about a month after announcing that her portable hair roll, which had drawn attention over its price, surpassed 10,000 units in sales.

On June 2, Gu shared the product directly through her social media account, writing, "After completing the design registration, I have released a new pouch." The post revealed a pouch that she said she had designed herself.
Alongside the pouch, Gu showed a design registration certificate issued by the Korean Intellectual Property Office. According to the certificate, she applied for registration of the pouch design in March and completed the design registration in April.
The new pouch follows the portable hair roll that Gu developed and released not long ago. That hair roll received a patent after improving portability, eco-friendliness, and functionality. However, its price also became a point of debate, as it was sold for 13,000 won per single item and 25,000 won for a set of two.
Responding to comments that the product was expensive, Gu said, "There was some talk that it was pricey. But the processing itself is completely different from existing rolls." Her remarks conveyed confidence in the product despite the price controversy.
In April, Gu said, "My hair roll has surpassed 10,000 units," letting followers know that sales had been strong.
Gu Hye-seon debuted in 2002 as an advertising model and became widely recognized through the MBC sitcom "Nonstop 5." She later appeared in dramas including "Seodongyo," "Pure in Heart," "Strongest Chil Woo," and "Boys Over Flowers."
She has also continued her studies alongside her entertainment career. After entering Sungkyunkwan University's Department of Film in 2011, she went on to the Moon Soul Graduate School of Future Strategy at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, known as KAIST, where she majored in science journalism and earned a master's degree in engineering.
