Han Da-gam Reveals How She Became Pregnant at 45 and Introduces Her Husband
Actress Han Da-gam appeared on KBS2's The Return of Superman at 20 weeks pregnant, sharing her pregnancy routine, IVF story and husband.
Actress Han Da-gam, who is 20 weeks pregnant, appeared on the June 3 broadcast of the KBS2 variety program The Return of Superman and opened up about how she became pregnant at the age of 45.

Han described the public response to her pregnancy news as overwhelming. "As I have lived my life, a day like this has really come," she said. "Even I still cannot believe it. I am receiving far more calls and congratulatory messages now than I did when I won a major award at an acting awards ceremony."
Despite being of advanced maternal age, Han said she succeeded in becoming pregnant after just one in vitro fertilization procedure. She added, "Today on The Return of Superman, I will reveal without holding back the specific method and care routine that so many people have been curious about."
Han also said the episode would mark the first time she has shown her husband on television since her entertainment industry debut. "I will show viewers my private side and daily life, which I have not shown until now, without editing myself down," she said. The program followed the tearful effort and careful self-management she went through before meeting the child she calls by the prenatal nickname Chaltteok-i.
Explaining the nickname, Han said, "Because this blessing came to me at a late age, I wondered how I could keep it with me, so I gave the baby the prenatal name Chaltteok-i. I wanted to have a child from the age of 42, managed my body for two years, and in the end heard the good news at 45."
Han emphasized that she became pregnant with a naturally produced egg, not a frozen one. "I had frozen my eggs in my 30s, before I was even married," she said. "But after marriage, when I went in for tests, I was told that my current eggs were healthier. So I conceived this child with an egg from when I was 45."
The first pregnancy-related habit Han shared was a strict breakfast routine. "In the morning, I start with Greek yogurt," she said. "It is a diet I have maintained for 10 years. It is good to eat it with dragon fruit. It is low in sugar and rich in dietary fiber. That is one of my management methods." She also said she took care of her nutrition with black goat.
For snacks, Han said she avoids processed foods and eats nuts instead. She also worked on mental discipline to steady her mind, saying, "I heard that through copying the Lotus Sutra, writing down one's wishes and emptying the mind could help one achieve what one wants, so I did it."
Han also explained how she approached protein intake. "I eat meat, but I was told it is good to eat small amounts often," she said. "Sometimes butter is added for flavor, but to prevent weight gain, I season it with seasoning and salt before grilling."
Han then revealed her husband's face and looked back on their first meeting. "I first saw my husband at a private gathering with an acquaintance," she said. "At the time, he had no interest in me at all. Because of that, I actually thought for a moment, 'Could this be fate?'"
She continued, "Because we dated so cautiously, I thought that if we were going to be like this, we might as well get married. In the end, I was the one who proposed to my husband first and asked him to marry me."
