Han Go-eun suffers rib fracture after husband's sudden hospitalization

Actress Han Go-eun has opened up about a recent difficult period, following her husband's sudden hospitalization and her own injury caused by a fall in the bathroom. She revealed that unexpected events occurred in succession, as she was unable to stay by her husband's side at the hospital due to her filming schedule, only to suffer a major injury herself.

On the 10th, Han shared her recent status through her YouTube channel 'Han Go-eun Go-eun Unnie,' stating, "There has been misfortune in our home." As she has typically shown a relatively bright and everyday side of herself on SNS and television, her direct mention of consecutive family health issues drew concern from fans.

First, her husband, Sin Yeong-su, experienced sudden back pain. Han explained that she was filming at the time, saying, "Suddenly, my husband said his back hurt so much. He said he could go to the hospital alone."

However, the situation was more serious than expected. After arriving at the hospital, Sin had to be taken in a wheelchair and was told by medical staff that a procedure was necessary. Han thought her husband would return home once he woke up from anesthesia following the procedure.

The time was 11:00 AM at that moment. However, around 7:00 PM, her husband called her again. Sin called while crying, saying he needed to be hospitalized and complaining that despite receiving the procedure, his pain had not improved at all.

The problem was that Han also could not go to her husband's side immediately due to her filming schedule. She expressed her frustrating feelings at the time, saying, "I was stuck in Ilsan because of filming. I couldn't even contact him properly and had to keep filming."

It was a situation where a sudden medical issue arose within the family, yet it was difficult to stop her own livelihood. In particular, since an actor's filming schedules are often coordinated months in advance, it is not uncommon for it to be difficult to immediately clear a schedule even when sudden family emergencies occur. It appears Han had to suffer through great anxiety during that time.

But before her husband's hospitalization could even be settled, Han herself met with an accident. About two weeks ago, while entering the bathroom in a state of extreme fatigue, she slipped heavily without noticing the moisture on the floor.

Recalling the situation, Han said, "I tried to grab something, but I missed it and hit my side. In that moment, I couldn't hear any sound or think of anything."

Upon visiting the hospital afterward, she was diagnosed with a fracture.

In reality, the bathroom is considered a space with a relatively high risk of falls even within a home. Friction on the floor can decrease due to water or soap, and there is a possibility of the body directly hitting hard structures like bathtubs or sinks during a fall. Han's case is an example where an accident that could have been thought of as a simple slip ultimately led to skeletal damage.
