Joo Sang-wook plots revenge in 'Agent Kim Reactivated'
In SBS drama 'Agent Kim Reactivated,' Joo Sang-wook's character forms a dangerous alliance with North Korea to settle a score with So Ji-sub.
In the SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Agent Kim Reactivated,' Joo Sang-wook has heightened the tension to its peak by joining forces with North Korea to seek revenge against So Ji-sub.

In the eighth episode of 'Agent Kim Reactivated' aired on the 18th, Agent Kim (So Ji-sub) takes on a new secret mission while Joo Kang-chan (Joo Sang-wook) attempts a dangerous collaboration to repay past humiliations.
While Agent Kim appeared to have been repatriated to North Korea, it was revealed to be a meticulously designed operation by Commander Jang of the Cheonsan Unit (Choi Beom-ho) and Kang Guk-cheol (Won Hyeon-jun), the team leader of the Special Task Bureau, to verify his loyalty.
Commander Jang proposed a new mission to Agent Kim, stating, "I have decided to use you one more time for the interests of the Republic of Korea." He followed this with a promise: "If you succeed in this mission, I will ensure that both you and your daughter regain your freedom with new identities."
Agent Kim worried about the safety of his daughter, Minzy, who would be left alone, but Kang Guk-cheol responded, "The Special Task Bureau will take responsibility for her protection. Even if you do not believe us, your daughter is a citizen of the Republic of Korea. We protect our citizens even at the cost of our lives."
In response, Agent Kim demanded the release of his colleagues Sung Han-soo (Choi Dae-hoon) and Park Jin-cheol (Yoon Kyung-ho) as a condition for performing the mission. The Special Task Bureau accepted this, and the two men were set free.
The core of this operation was to protect a high-ranking North Korean defector. The individual Agent Kim encountered was none other than Lee Jae-yong, the Director General of the South Korea Intelligence Bureau. It was revealed that Lee Jae-yong personally designated Agent Kim as his bodyguard to protect his own safety, restarting the ill-fated relationship between the two.
Joo Kang-chan vowed revenge as he recalled being thoroughly suppressed by Agent Kim in the past. He mobilized his connections to track Agent Kim's identity and grew suspicious after confirming through a member of the National Assembly that the official records of Agent Kim and his daughter's identities did not exist.
Ultimately, after hearing about Agent Kim's true identity from the Vice Minister of National Security, Joo Kang-chan obtained information that Agent Kim is a former North Korean elite agent known by the codename '66' and is performing a secret national mission on the condition of amnesty.
Not missing the opportunity when a North Korean delegation stayed at his hotel, Joo Kang-chan approached the North Korean officials first. He leaked Agent Kim's whereabouts, saying, "Are you not looking for Director General Lee Jae-yong? The person with him is none other than 66."
Then, at a secretly arranged meeting, he attempted a dangerous deal with the North Korean side, proposing, "I want only one thing. Let me be the one to finally cut his last breath."
As Joo Kang-chan's relentless desire for revenge against Agent Kim combines with North Korean forces, the conflict in the drama has entered a new phase. With the interests of various countries surrounding Lee Jae-yong also becoming entangled, anticipation is growing over whether Agent Kim can protect both his mission and his daughter amidst this massive conspiracy.
