Actor Choi Dae-hoon to Miss 'Kim Bu-jang' Reward Vacation in Guam with So Ji-sub and Yoon Kyung-ho

Actor Choi Dae-hoon will be unable to join the reward vacation for the SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Kim Bu-jang.' This news adds a sense of regret for fans, as Choi earned significant love through his fantastic chemistry with co-stars So Ji-sub and Yoon Kyung-ho within the series.

On the 29th, an official from Ace Factory, the agency representing Choi Dae-hoon, stated, "Due to his current schedule, it has become difficult for Choi Dae-hoon to attend the reward vacation for the SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Kim Bu-jang.'"

'Kim Bu-jang' is a revenge action drama set within a "father universe," depicting the transformation of Kim Bu-jang (played by So Ji-sub), an ordinary father, into the world's most dangerous man in order to rescue his kidnapped daughter. The series established itself as the most talked-about hit of this summer, fueled by the synergy of its spectacular action, fast-paced progression, and the passionate performances of its cast.

The production saw a smooth start, recording a nationwide viewership rating of 9.5% (according to Nielsen Korea) from its first broadcast. Driven by strong word-of-mouth, the show saw a steep upward trend, surpassing a 20% rating within just four episodes. In its final episode aired on the 25th, it reached a peak rating of 23%, setting a new personal record and concluding on a high note.

Spurred by this massive success, the production team and cast are set to depart for Guam this August for a reward vacation. Lead actor So Ji-sub, along with major cast members including Yoon Kyung-ho and Joo Sang-wook, will gather to enjoy a well-deserved rest and celebrate the success of the project.

However, Choi Dae-hoon, who displayed an intense presence throughout the drama, will be unable to join this celebration due to his personal schedule.
