Parasite stars Cho Yeo-jeong and Lee Jung-eun reunite in Kangnam

Actors Cho Yeo-jeong and Lee Jung-eun brought joy to fans by reuniting in an unexpected location. As news surfaced of the two, who showed intense chemistry in the film "Parasite," meeting by chance in the middle of Kangnam, their special connection is being highlighted once again.

On the 3rd, Cho posted a photo on her social media with the caption, "This is truly unbelievable. To run into you in the middle of Gangnam Station. Unnie!"

The released photo captures Cho and Lee meeting on a street near Gangnam Station in Seoul. The two are looking at the camera with bright smiles, dressed in comfortable, casual attire.

Cho drew attention with a natural look close to no makeup while wearing sunglasses, and Lee appeared in a modest style wearing a green cap. Meeting on an everyday street rather than a glamorous official event, the appearance of the two created a friendly atmosphere that shed their titles as actors.

Fans showed enthusiastic reactions, saying things like, "It feels like the two characters from the movie met in real life," "So happy to see the Parasite combination," and "It's amazing that such a coincidence happened at Gangnam Station."

The connection between the two dates back to director Bong Joon-ho's film "Parasite," which was released in 2019.

Cho received critical acclaim for her delicate yet unique character interpretation as Yeon-kyo, the mistress of a wealthy household, while Lee delivered an impressive performance as the housekeeper Moon-gwang, exploding the tension of the work.

In particular, "Parasite" is a work that caused a global syndrome, being the first Korean film to win the Palme d'Or at the Cannes International Film Festival and subsequently winning four awards at the Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best International Feature Film. Along with the film's success, both actresses left a strong impression on global audiences.

Later, the two worked together once again in the 2025 film "My Daughter Is a Zombie."

While they met amidst the tense relationships surrounding class and space in "Parasite," in "My Daughter Is a Zombie," Lee took on the role of a homeowner, showcasing a different kind of chemistry with Cho. The fact that the same actors created completely different relationships and atmospheres for each work was evaluated as a charm of their acting chemistry.

Cho is currently meeting viewers through the Coupang Play series "Affairs Are Not the Problem Right Now."

Lee will appear in the film "Gyeongju Trip," scheduled for release on the 26th. In that work, Park So Dam is expected to play Lee's second daughter, presenting a new family narrative.
