Son Nae-eun addresses absence from Yoon Bo Mi's wedding

Actress Son Nae-eun has personally revealed why she was unable to attend the wedding of Apink member Yoon Bo Mi. She also addressed rumors of discord with her former group members, expressing her unwavering affection for the team.

During a wrap-up interview for the SBS Friday-Saturday drama "Agent Kim Reactivated" on the 29th of last month, Son explained the situation when asked about her absence from Yoon's wedding.

"Drama filming was in its final stages, and other schedules overlapped, so I could not attend the wedding," she said.

She continued, emphasizing, "Apink is a truly precious team that I spent my teens and 20s with. Whenever something good happens to the members, I always want to celebrate them, and my support for them remains unchanged."

Son's remarks are being viewed as a clarification of the "Apink discord rumors" that surfaced among some fans following her absence from Yoon's wedding.

Yoon held a private wedding with composer Song Joo-young at the Grand Hyatt Seoul in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, this past May. While Apink members Chorong, Eunji, Namjoo, Do Ha-young, and even Hong Yookyung, who left the group in 2013, were in attendance, Son's absence piqued fans' curiosity.

Son has faced various misunderstandings regarding her relationship with the group in the past.

When she was unable to participate in Apink's 10th anniversary activities in 2022, she directly denied rumors of friction, stating, "It is a shame I cannot join the 10th anniversary album activities, but please support the members a lot."

Speculations regarding her relationship with the members resurfaced after it was revealed she did not attend Do Ha-young's birthday gathering last year, followed by her absence from Yoon's wedding.

However, through this interview, Son made it clear that "Apink is the precious time that made me who I am today."

Regarding her transition from idol to actress, she stated, "The fact that I am from an idol background is a grateful history that made me who I am now. I believe it is my responsibility to show an even better side of myself as an actress."

While Son Nae-eun has moved on to a career in acting, she quelled fan concerns by sending a message that her respect and support for her longtime Apink members remain unchanged.
