G-Dragon teases being Sandara Park's matchmaker: 'If I open my mouth...'
BigBang's G-Dragon reveals he may have played matchmaker for Sandara Park during their YG Entertainment days on the YouTube show Zip Daesung.
BigBang's G-Dragon brought laughter to viewers by revealing that he played the role of a so-called 'matchmaker' regarding Sandara Park's past dating anecdotes. Moving beyond being a mere witness, he even suggested the possibility that he directly connected Sandara Park with the man in question, showcasing his side as the 'YG Cupid.'

On the 19th, a video titled 'Let's Go Camping | Zip Daesung ep.120 BigBang' was released on the YouTube channel 'Zip Daesung.' To celebrate BigBang's 20th anniversary since their debut, the video captures G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung enjoying indoor camping and sharing stories.
During the session, Daesung brought up an episode previously shared by Sandara Park during her appearance on 'Zip Daesung.'
Previously, Sandara Park had shared an anecdote from her days active under YG Entertainment about a male celebrity visiting the dorms. Recalling that someone had informed company officials of this fact, she mentioned Yang Hyun-suk, Teddy Park, and G-Dragon as the so-called 'YG Big Three Controllers.'
In particular, Sandara Park had mentioned at the time that the male celebrity's visit to the dorm caught the attention of the BigBang members, and she fueled curiosity by answering affirmatively when asked if the individual was a singer.
Bringing up this anecdote again, Daesung questioned G-Dragon about the facts, to which G-Dragon gave a meaningful reaction.
G-Dragon drew bursts of laughter by saying, "Noona. If I open my mouth, you're done," implying that he was somewhat involved in the situation in the past.
He further explained that he wasn't just a witness to the scene. He stated, "I didn't just see it. I know the guy too," adding, "Because if I remember correctly, I might have been the one who introduced them."
Ultimately, this raised the possibility that G-Dragon was the 'bridge' who connected Sandara Park with the man. Rather than being a mere whistleblower, it appears he utilized his connections in the entertainment industry to arrange meetings for his colleagues.
However, G-Dragon drew a line, stating that he did not directly spread Sandara Park's private life.
He emphasized, "What you're misunderstanding is that I didn't talk about you directly," and added, "I don't even talk much to the kids."
In other words, he explained that he was not the person who directly witnessed the visit to the dorm and reported it to the company. Rather, he knew the man in question, and looking back at his memory, he might be the person who facilitated the meeting between the two.
This episode not only showcases G-Dragon's unique connections within the industry but also offers a glimpse into the atmosphere of the YG heyday represented by BigBang and 2NE1. During that era, artists under YG were closely intertwined not only through music but also through daily interpersonal relationships, sharing each other's private lives more closely than anyone else.
In particular, as G-Dragon has built a wide network through his long career in the music industry, he seems to have naturally played the role of connecting people among fellow singers.
As the dating stories of former colleagues were summoned during BigBang's camping talk marking their 20th anniversary, memories and behind-the-scenes stories surrounding YG at that time were also revived. While G-Dragon ultimately did not reveal the specific identity of the partner, his single remark, "If I open my mouth," left even greater curiosity in its wake.
