KO WOORIM Admits to Lyric Mistake at His Wedding: 'I Was Nervous Because Kim Yuna is My Wife'

KO WOORIM, a member of the group Forestella, belatedly confessed that he made a mistake with the lyrics during his wedding to former figure skater Kim Yuna. KO WOORim stated that while he has never once missed or forgotten lyrics in his entire life, this was the only time he made such an error.

In the episode 'A Story of Seoul National University Vocal Music Department with Different Strides,' released on the YouTube channel 'Zzanbro Shin Dong Yup' on the 15th, Forestella member Jo Mingyu revealed, “Woorim doesn't usually tremble. Even when we won 'Phantom Singer,' Woorim was the only one who didn't cry. On his wedding day, Woorim said, 'I'll just do it like usual,' but suddenly he forgot the lyrics. He made a mistake he had never made before.”

KO WOORIM also admitted, “I messed up the lyrics in a part I have never gotten wrong in my life. I was so shocked and flustered that I thought, 'Why am I doing this?'” Jo Mingyu recalled that they narrowly escaped the crisis, adding, “The people next to him were helping him out. Usually, it's Woorim who helps others.”

KO WOORIM acknowledged that his wedding to Kim Yuna was not ordinary, saying, “I guess there is an indescribable level of tension during a wedding that you just can't avoid.” Shin Dong Yup voiced KO WOORIM's inner thoughts, suggesting, “While congratulating others at a wedding and looking at the bride and groom, you might think, 'Is that person my wife?' or 'Yeah, that's my wife.' It's because it's so wonderful.”

KO WOORIM married Kim Yuna, who is five years his senior, in 2022 after a five-year relationship. Shin Dong Yup served as the master of ceremonies for the wedding. Forestella performed 'In un'altra vita,' the song they sang at the ice show where the two first met, as the wedding congratulatory song.
