Actor Lee Gi-taek Joins '2 Days & 1 Night' Season 4 Alongside Lee Yong-jin

Actor Lee Gi-taek is joining KBS2 variety program '2 Days & 1 Night Season 4' as a new member.

Lee Gi-taek's agency KeyEast announced on the 15th that "Lee Gi-taek will appear as a regular cast member on KBS2's '2 Days & 1 Night Season 4.'" '2 Days & 1 Night' has been a beloved flagship variety show of KBS since its launch in 2007 and is currently airing its fourth season.

Lee Gi-taek shared his thoughts on joining, saying, "I am truly grateful and honored to be part of '2 Days & 1 Night Season 4,' a beloved national variety show that travels across the country to showcase the charms of each region and has long been cherished by so many people."

He added, "I still have a lot to learn, but I will work hard to absorb much from my senior colleagues, find my rhythm with them, and blend into the show as quickly as possible so that I can bring joy to viewers."

A former model, he began his acting career in 2020 with the web drama 'Two Women's Dangerous Cohabitation – In Seoul 2.' He subsequently appeared in dramas such as 'The Devil Judge,' 'My Happy Ending,' and 'Namib,' and most recently played the bold younger man Shin Ji-su in the drama 'Efficient Dating for Single Men and Women.'

He also appeared as an assistant chef to Cha Seung-won in the Coupang Play variety show 'Bonjour Bakery,' which was released on the 8th. He is also set to appear in the upcoming SBS variety program 'Beopryun Road: The Monk and the Guest.'

'2 Days & 1 Night' saw Jo Se-ho depart due to an unfortunate incident, and most recently Yoo Seon-ho left the show to focus on his acting career. The program will now move forward with new members comedian Lee Yong-jin and Lee Gi-taek joining the existing cast of Kim Jong-min, Moon Se-yoon, Lee Jun, and DinDin.
