Byeon Woo-seok, Grand Princess Consort Controversy Aside, Ranks No. 1 Before Yoo Jae-suk Camp Premiere

Actor Byeon Woo-seok has risen to No. 1 even before Netflix’s non-drama program Yoo Jae-suk Camp has been released, showing that the recent Grand Princess Consort controversy has not slowed public interest in him.

According to the May week-three TV-OTT integrated non-drama cast buzz ranking announced on the 28th by Good Data Corporation’s FUNdex, Byeon Woo-seok of Yoo Jae-suk Camp took first place in the performer buzz category. The result places him at the top of the non-drama conversation before the program’s public debut.

Byeon Woo-seok recently confirmed his popularity through MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama 21st Century Grand Princess Consort, while also becoming the target of a historical distortion controversy connected to the drama. Even with that debate surrounding the title, he is proving his steady popularity beyond drama content by generating strong attention in the non-drama field ahead of broadcast.

Interest in Yoo Jae-suk Camp was not limited to Byeon Woo-seok. Lee Kwang-soo ranked third, while Ji Ye-eun placed eighth, meaning the program’s cast members as a whole are drawing notable attention in the latest FUNdex tally.

Second place in the non-drama cast buzz ranking went to Lee Su-ji of SNL Korea Season 8. During the program’s nine-week release period, Lee Su-ji entered the Top 5 as many as seven times, underscoring her continued presence near the top of the chart.

Other SNL Korea Season 8 cast members also appeared in the upper tier of the ranking. Kim Kyu-won placed fourth, Kim Won-hoon ranked sixth, and Jung Soo-jung came in ninth, giving the Coupang Play program several names in the Top 10.

Fifth place went to Gong Seung-yeon, who appeared as a guest on tvN’s You Quiz on the Block. With Gong Seung-yeon’s performance, a guest from the program entered the Top 5 for the first time in 12 weeks since Park Ji-hoon’s appearance.

The seventh and tenth spots in the non-drama cast buzz ranking were taken by Kangnam of Please Take Care of My Refrigerator since 2014 and Song Ji-eun of Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny, respectively.

In the overall TV-OTT non-drama buzz ranking, Coupang Play’s SNL Korea Season 8 claimed first place. By reaching No. 1 in the third week of May, the program recorded its sixth first-place finish during the season’s release period.

From second to fifth place in the non-drama buzz ranking were I Am SOLO from ENA and SBS Plus, tvN’s You Quiz on the Block, Netflix’s Yoo Jae-suk Camp, and tvN’s Kill It: Style Creator War.
