Chef Ahn Sung Jae returns to social media looking haggard after controversy
Chef Ahn Sung Jae resumes social media activity two months after facing backlash over wine substitution allegations at his restaurant, Mosu.
Chef Ahn Sung Jae, who had vanished from social media following allegations of wine substitution, returned to his accounts on the 13th, marking his first communication in approximately two months since the controversy erupted.

Ahn posted a photo on his SNS, stating, “I am always happy to be able to share stories about Mosu and myself.”
Netizens reacting to his recent update noted that he appears noticeably haggard, suggesting he may have suffered significant emotional distress due to the intense criticism over the past two months.
He also shared footage of himself back in the kitchen, focusing on cooking alongside his colleagues.
In April, Ahn faced heavy criticism when allegations surfaced that his restaurant, Mosu, had provided cheaper wines instead of the expensive selections promised in its wine pairing sets.
While Ahn and Mosu issued public apologies, they faced significant backlash, with critics arguing the delayed response lacked sincerity.
After suspending his social media presence following the incident, Ahn now appears to be making moves toward a professional comeback as time has passed.
