Ha Hyun-woo Wins Hidden Singer 8, Overwhelming Mimicry Experts

Ha Hyun-woo, leader of the band Kukasten, won by a margin of more than 30 votes after competing against vocal impersonators on JTBC's 'Hidden Singer 8' on the 12th.

Appearing as the seventh original singer on 'Hidden Singer 8,' Ha Hyun-woo showed off his unrivaled vocal tone and displayed his confidence regarding the competition songs that were expected to feature high notes, saying, "I can sing these even while lying down."

In Round 1, the competition song was T-Sams' 'Waiting Every Day,' which became a song that represents Ha Hyun-woo after he passionately performed it on a 2016 music survival program.

The vocal impersonators boasted tremendous singing ability, and Ha Hyun-woo narrowly advanced to the Round 2 stage with just a 2-vote difference from the eliminated contestant. In Round 2, he sang 'Stone' (Dolddeong-i), the OST of the drama 'Itaewon Class.'

The Round 3 song was 'KICK OUT.' As soon as Ha Hyun-woo saw this song, he predicted it would be a round of crisis.

The identities of the vocal impersonators, who possessed tremendous skill that was in no way inferior to Ha Hyun-woo's, were revealed. Among them, the impersonator known as 'JTBC's Son Ha Hyun-woo' was revealed to be a tax accountant and a participant in 'Phantom Singer 4' and 'Sing Again 3.' He, who had been told back then that his voice resembled Ha Hyun-woo's, revealed feelings that were unclear whether they were fandom or rivalry, saying, "From 2018, I waited 8 years for Ha Hyun-woo to appear on 'Hidden Singer.'"

For Round 4, the final match, N.EX.T's 'Lazenca, Save Us' was selected. Park Wan-kyu of the celebrity judging panel predicted Ha Hyun-woo's victory based on his unrivaled skill, saying, "I haven't gotten a single answer wrong so far. Ha Hyun-woo's music sounds more refreshing."

Ha Hyun-woo ultimately claimed the final victory with an overwhelming 58 votes. He expressed his appreciation for their efforts, saying, "I felt a lot of gratitude that I had forgotten. The vocal impersonators are people with outstanding skills who took time out of their own schedules and prepared for a long time."
