On the 11th, during the MBC variety show 'Hangout with Yoo', comedian Yoo Jae-suk offered sharp advice to Yang Sang-guk, who has recently been under fire for attitude controversies.
Yoo Jae-suk, Haha, Ju Woojae, Heo Kyung Hwan, Yang Sang-guk, and Lee Sun-min visited Gumi, Gyeongsangbuk-do together.
As Heo Kyung Hwan naturally took the center position during the opening, Yoo Jae-suk subtly implied a hierarchy, asking, "Kyung Hwan, why are you in the center? Who do you think you are?"
When Heo Kyung Hwan attempted to defend himself by saying, "I'll just sit here for one minute," Yang Sang-guk countered, "You've become quite arrogant since you started filming many CFs and became a trend. Be humble."
Heo Kyung Hwan fought back without backing down, asking, "Did you apply a lot of sunscreen? Why is your face so white?" Yoo Jae-suk also joined in to tease Heo, asking, "Is your condition bad, or did you apply the sunscreen incorrectly?" Yang Sang-guk responded awkwardly, saying, "I was trying to block out the UV rays."
Heo congratulated Yang on his recent victory in a car racing competition, saying, "I heard Sang-guk took 1st place in car racing this time." Yoo dropped a meaningful remark, saying, "Sang-guk, as expected, people need stimulation." This prompted laughter from all the cast members.
Yoo remarked, "There needs to be something to lead me to 1st place," to which Yang admitted to the controversy surrounding himself, saying, "There was a driving force. I was trying to surge ahead in variety shows, but the brakes were applied. The moment I was caught, I thought, 'I should at least surge ahead in racing.'"
Ju maintained his teasing stance toward Yang, noting, "You've already stepped on the brakes here."
While Yang has been active in various variety programs after gaining attention for his 'Gimhae Crown Prince' character, he recently faced controversy for being pointed out as disrespectful to his senior, Yoo, on the web variety show 'Just an Excuse' hosted by Yoo.
When Yoo pointed it out, Yang received criticism for being rude after saying, "If you talk about it one more time, I'll scold you." He has since apologized through his SNS and broadcasts.
