Jeon So-min Takes Café Part-Time Job at 40 After Finding Herself Without Work

Actress Jeon So-min (40) has revealed that she worked a part-time job at a café after leaving "Running Man."

On the 17th, Jeon So-min (40) appeared as a special MC on the SBS variety show "My Ugly Duckling," where she disclosed that after stepping down from "Running Man" — a show she had been active on for seven years — she had taken a part-time position at a café.

She explained her reasoning, saying, "A close older brother of mine runs a café, so I worked there part-time for a while. It wasn't so much worry about the future — it was more that I had been working steadily and then suddenly everything came to a complete stop, which made me anxious all at once. I had savings set aside, but since I had no idea when income would come in again, I wanted to get out and do something productive, even if just a little."

She mentioned there was one condition attached to her taking the job, saying, "I worked under the condition that I wouldn't wear a hat or a mask. If I wore a hat and mask, no one would recognize my face, so they hired me for the purpose of promoting the shop."

She also revealed that she has banned her parents from entering her solo apartment, confessing, "The reason I moved out on my own was because I wanted to make as much of a mess as I liked. My parents are very neat and clean extremely thoroughly. They don't approve of my way of doing things either. I lie to them and tell them the place is clean. In reality, there's just barely enough space for me to lie down."

She shared that during her entire time on "Running Man," not a single guest had ever made a romantic move on her, saying, "I was on it for seven years and it never happened even once. But I heard Lee Mi-joo received quite a lot more advances than expected. I'm jealous. I was always in heavy stage makeup. I wasn't looking my most beautiful."
