The press conference for the new entertainment program 'Survival King 2' was scheduled to take place at the TV Chosun studio in Gasan-dong, Geumcheon-gu, Seoul, at 10 AM on the 20th, but it was delayed by about 20 minutes because Kim Byung-man arrived late.

As the arrival of the program's star, Kim Byung-man, was delayed, the entire schedule was pushed back. Most notably, Kim Byung-man drew complaints from many people because he did not offer an immediate apology on-site regarding his tardiness.

According to his agency, Kim Byung-man, who resides in Jeju, flew up the day before to attend the press conference and stayed in Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi-do. However, due to heavy traffic caused by rain on the day of the event, he arrived later than scheduled. The agency stated, "In the midst of the chaos, he was unable to convey an apology on-site."

On March 5, Kim Byung-man also drew criticism for arriving about 15 minutes late to the kickoff ceremony for 'Wishing from the Himalayas,' a project related to the 2026 North/Central America World Cup quarterfinals. At the time, Kim Byung-man's side explained that while it was difficult to attend due to other schedules, he eventually attended the site at the production company's request.

'Survival King 2' is a program where elite survival experts from four Asian countries navigate jungles, deserts, and cities to perform extreme survival missions to determine Asia's strongest survival team. Survival King Kim Byung-man, UDT alumnus Yuk Jun-seo, and The Boyz' Younghoon will unite as 'Team Korea' to engage in fierce competition against teams from Malaysia, Japan, and Taiwan. Singer Kim Jong-kook will serve as the MC.
