When Shin Dong Yup asked, "The broadcasting market situation wasn't good at that time, so I was curious why you left," Kim Sun-geun confessed, "I overestimated myself." Kim Sun-geun left KBS in 2022.

Recalling his heyday, he said, "Looking back, I almost never experienced failure in my life. I went to Korea University, which I wanted to attend, I joined KBS, and I did everything I wanted to do, from 'Entertainment Weekly' to radio DJ and MC for 'I Like Songs.'"

He continued, "I was truly arrogant back then. I even thought, 'What's stopping me from becoming Jun Hyun-moo?'" which brought laughter to the group.

Kim Sun-geun revealed that he used his profession as a KBS announcer to take out loans and invest in various fields, but ultimately failed. Furthermore, after winning a subscription for a new apartment in Paju, Gyeonggi-do, financial burdens poured in all at once.

He explained his reason for leaving, saying, "I wanted to let my Wife and children live in a good house. I thought I could earn more income once I became a freelancer." Although he had received promises of broadcast appearances before resigning, the situation changed completely once he actually left the company.

"I resigned after receiving a promise that my appearances on programs would be guaranteed, but a promise is just a promise. Not a single one materialized. Suddenly, my income became negative," he confessed.

He added, "I had to make a living immediately. Since I didn't know when broadcasting work would come in, I mainly did short-term part-time jobs that allowed me to use my time freely," revealing that he did whatever work came his way to survive.

He did not discriminate between jobs, including designated driving, parcel loading and unloading, laundry delivery, and packaging work in publishing complexes. In particular, he revealed that he even did laundry delivery in the early morning.

There was even more shocking news. He said, "There is something called a bioequivalence test to check the efficacy and side effects of generic drugs. You are hospitalized for 2 nights and 3 days, take medicine, and have blood drawn continuously. I participated because you can receive nearly 1 million won for one session. I really did everything I could."

He expressed his gratitude to his Wife, saying, "It feels like all the water has drained away over the last 4 years. Now, I am grateful for every single day. My Wife endured it with me while working three jobs."

Kim Sun-geun joined KBS in 2014 and was active in various programs such as 'Entertainment Weekly', 'Good Morning Korea LIVE', 'Immortal Songs', and 'I Like Songs' before leaving the company in September 2022.
