Lee Hyo-ri Consoles Widower Who Married His First Love After Nine Years: "A Perfect Love"

Singer Lee Hyo-ri offered sincere words of comfort to a fan who had endured the pain of losing his spouse on Netflix variety show "Yoo Jae-suk Camp," which was fully released on June 2. Lee appeared at the camp as a surprise guest with Lee Sang-soon, spending meaningful time with the second group of overnight guests.

During the gathering, Lee Hyo-ri approached a man who was wearing a wedding ring and began the conversation naturally, asking, "Are you married? You are wearing a wedding ring." The man replied that his wife had deeply admired Lee, saying she had been extremely happy when she first saw her. He also shared that the couple had enjoyed watching the homestay program featuring Lee Hyo-ri and Lee Sang-soon, and he recalled memories of doing abandoned-dog volunteer work and temporary foster care together with his wife.

Lee Hyo-ri asked, "Do you still do that now?" The participant paused, struggling to continue, before carefully revealing that his wife had passed away.

He explained, "Last September, I came home from work and turned on the light, and she was lying there as if asleep. She was in such a peaceful position. My wife always did the laundry as soon as she woke up in the morning, and I think that day she had done the same and then lay down to rest. It seemed like a heart attack."

Speaking about how their relationship began, he said they first met at school when they were twenty, dated for nine years, and married in 2022. His recollection conveyed a love that had remained steady over a long period of time.

Lee Hyo-ri was unable to speak for a while. Then, sharing both emotion and sorrow, she told him, "You really had a perfect love. From first love to the very end."

The participant grew tearful as he said, "People try to forget bad memories, do they not? I do not want to forget, but it feels like they are starting to fade. I am stopped at the time from the day before my wife left."
