Lee Joo-bin traveled to India after receiving an invitation from Venerable Pomnyun. Arriving in Kolkata in the early morning, she appeared in comfortable and simple clothing. She explained the reason behind her decision to boldly give up a previously scheduled trip to New York and head to India, saying, "I enjoy watching Venerable Pomnyun's 'Jumun Jeokseol,' so he felt like my grandfather."

She showed an active attitude toward adapting to the local environment, such as approaching hotel staff to ask for local greetings and picking up various types of food at the breakfast buffet, even with unfamiliar dishes, saying, "I'm going to try everything one by one." In a situation where she had to pack her travel luggage into a single bag, she showed a down-to-earth charm by boldly removing cosmetics, saying, "I just don't have to wear makeup."

When she went out onto the streets of Kolkata and encountered people living on the streets and begging children, she did not simply pass by; instead, she looked into her own heart and agonized seriously while examining her emotions, asking, "Is even this sympathy for my own satisfaction and greed?"
