Comedian Lee Sang-jun apologizes for LA show issues

Comedian Lee Sang-jun has issued a direct apology following controversies regarding delays and operational issues during his recent performances in Los Angeles (LA). He acknowledged the inconvenience caused to attendees and promised to deliver better performances in the future.

On the 5th, Lee posted a lengthy message on his SNS reflecting on his two performances held in LA.

"The sound of the audience's laughter during the LA performances remains a very happy memory for me," he stated, but added, "After the shows ended, I learned that some audience members felt uncomfortable during the performances."

He then bowed his head, saying, "You must have come to the venue to have a good laugh, and I am truly sorry for disappointing you. I will continue to study and research more to show constant improvement and strive to provide even greater laughter."

The controversy erupted as audience reviews were posted online immediately following the shows.

Lee held his stand-up comedy show, 'Lee Sang-jun Show,' in LA on the 2nd (local time). According to local reports, approximately 1,700 audience members attended the venue, with ticket prices reported to be in the 200,000 won range.

However, following the performances, some attendees posted reviews stating that the shows started later than scheduled and that on-site management, including sound issues, was poorly handled.

As criticism regarding the quality of the performances mounted online, Lee took action to contain the controversy by releasing a direct apology before the issue escalated.

Following the LA shows, Lee will continue his North American tour.

He is scheduled to perform in cities including Atlanta, Washington D.C., New York, Toronto, Vancouver, Chicago, and San Francisco. Attention is now focused on whether he can make up for the shortcomings revealed in LA during his upcoming stages.
