Moon Se-yoon: "I couldn't stand DinDin driving foreign cars on his mother's credit card"
Comedian Moon Se-yoon reflects on DinDin's growth, recalling his controversial early days and rebellious image on variety shows.
Comedian Moon Se-yoon provided an honest assessment of singer DinDin's past, revealing the growth observed by a long-time colleague. His remarks are drawing attention as they capture the journey of DinDin, who initially garnered attention for his strong personality and unrestrained attitude before establishing himself as a much more mature entertainer.

On the 7th, a video titled 'The Secret Behind DinDin's Image Surge: The Thoughtless Graduation' was posted on the YouTube channel 'Alttalttalhan Chamgyeon.' The broadcast featured guests including DinDin, Muzie, Heo Kyung Hwan, and Ahn Jae Hyun, who shared various stories.
Ahn Jae Hyun shared an anecdote about being deeply impressed by DinDin during the filming of 2 Days and 1 Night in the past. He stated, "DinDin was the most mature," adding, "He even sent me a text message telling me how to manage my health after filming."
In response, DinDin explained, "I was worried because he looked like he was actually going to collapse during filming," noting that he heard Moon Se-yoon had to receive an IV drip after a shoot. Ahn Jae Hyun revealed that he actually followed DinDin's advice to manage his health, showing the warm relationship between the two.
However, DinDin also opened up about the hardships of long-term filming for 2 Days and 1 Night. He honestly expressed the physical and psychological pressure, saying, "When it's a filming week, I start feeling stressed from Monday." He added, "If my condition breaks down around Thursday, I feel like I won't be able to do anything on set, so I am tense every single day."
During this process, Muzie revealed a conversation he had with Moon Se-yoon back when he was hosting programs alongside DinDin. Muzie stated, "At that time, Moon Se-yoon asked if he was close to DinDin and said, 'Sometimes his behavior goes too far, and I don't know what to do.'"
In response, Moon Se-yoon shared his honest impression of DinDin via a phone connection.
Moon Se-yoon drew laughter by saying, "The person now is so different from back then. He has finally become a proper person now." He went on to confess, "Back then, his image was shown on broadcasts where he used his mother's credit card and drove around in a Mini Cooper, and honestly, I couldn't stand watching it."
Describing DinDin's image at the time, he pointed out the immaturity hidden behind the strong personality, saying, "His tone was irritating, and he had no fighting spirit. He felt like a wildcat nibbling at your side."
He further explained, "It seemed like he learned 'swag' the wrong way. I wanted to tell him what real hip-hop is. I wanted to show him that outward bluffing and true confidence are different."
DinDin also recalled the situation and mentioned the change in his relationship with Moon Se-yoon. He said, "When Se-yoon hyung first joined 2 Days and 1 Night, I think he wanted to be like Kang Ho-dong hyung from Season 1," and added, "He tried to host and lead the atmosphere, but I kept not playing along."
He continued, "From his perspective, he probably thought, 'Why isn't he helping me?' But my thought was just to be honest."
Regarding this, Moon Se-yoon shared his feelings at the time, saying, "He tried to become Kang Ho-dong, but he must have struggled as he realized he couldn't ultimately become Kang Ho-dong."
In the broadcasting industry, Moon Se-yoon's remarks are significant not as mere exposure, but as a narrative of an entertainer's growth seen through the eyes of a long-time colleague. It is evaluated that DinDin, who initially drew mixed reactions due to his unrestrained words and rebellious image, has adjusted his character through various experiences and relationships to become a broadcaster with empathy and consideration.
DinDin continues to communicate with the public by balancing music activities and variety show appearances, and he still shows close chemistry with Moon Se-yoon on broadcasting sets to this day.
