Park Sung-kwang and Lee Sol-yi return to hospital for beloved pet

Comedian Park Sung-kwang and his wife Lee Sol-yi are receiving a wave of support as they share updates on their pet dog, Gwang-bok, who has been battling heart disease for a long time. Fans expressed concern after news broke that Gwang-bok, now a senior dog, had to visit the hospital again.

On the 28th, Park released photos of Gwang-bok taken at an animal hospital via his SNS.

In the photos, Gwang-bok is seen wearing a recovery collar and looking at the camera following treatment. His lethargic appearance moved many viewers to sympathy.

Along with the photos, Park expressed his deep affection for his pet, writing, "Our Gwang-bok is at the hospital again. Let's stay strong, our Bok-i."

His wife, Lee, also shared updates on Gwang-bok's condition through her SNS on the same day.

She posted a photo of Gwang-bok sleeping at home after being discharged, writing, "Gwang-bok went to the hospital and is now discharged. You worked so hard, baby."

She followed up with an additional photo of him resting comfortably on his belly, adding "So cute" to show her enduring love for the dog.

Gwang-bok gained significant popularity when he appeared alongside Park on the MBC variety show "The Manager." Due to his cute charm, he even filmed several commercials alongside Park.

However, Gwang-bok, now over 12 years old, has been the subject of much public support following news that he is battling heart disease.

Lee previously revealed that as Gwang-bok's heart condition worsened, he developed pulmonary edema, requiring emergency room treatment and a procedure to remove fluid from his lungs.

The couple has continued to share Gwang-bok's treatment process, demonstrating their commitment to his recovery.

Meanwhile, Lee also drew sympathy from the public last year when she opened up about her own health struggles.

She revealed she was diagnosed with cancer while preparing to have a child after marriage, stating, "After leaving my job, I naturally began preparing for pregnancy, but I was diagnosed with cancer after five months."

She continued, "Due to the nature of female cancer, I became unable to have children, and I felt a great sense of apology toward my parents and my parents-in-law. I underwent surgery and cytotoxic chemotherapy for six months, going through a difficult time that involved trips to the emergency room. I am still taking medication and continuing treatment."

As they navigate these health challenges together, Park and Lee continue to support one another while staying by the side of Gwang-bok, who is like a member of the family.

Park and Lee married in 2020 and gained popularity by appearing together on the SBS variety show "Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny." Lee currently works as an influencer, maintaining steady communication with her fans.
