Yoo Jae-suk Returns to 'Happy Together' After 6 Years, Moved to Tears
Yoo Jae-suk shows emotional tears in the teaser for KBS's new variety show 'Happy Together: Glad We're Not Alone,' a revival of the legendary series.
Broadcaster Yoo Jae-suk is drawing intense interest even before the first broadcast as he is seen shedding tears in the teaser video for KBS's new variety show 'Happy Together: Glad We're Not Alone' (hereafter 'Haetu').

Scheduled to premiere on the 10th at 8:30 PM, 'Haetu' is a comeback project for 'Happy Together,' which was beloved for a long period from 2001 to 2020, marking its return after 6 years. This season introduces a new format centered on the narratives and music of 'life teammates,' an audition-style show that unfolds people's lives and relationships through song.
The first teaser video released on the 1st featured various participants' stages accompanied by the narration, "I want to sing together." Participants share stories formed through various life relationships, such as family, friends, and colleagues, by performing them through music.
It is known that this audition will feature a diverse range of participants, including ordinary people as well as singers and broadcasters. Notable appearances by Bang Ye-dam's family, Park Jae-jung, Joosiq, and the full group of Click-B have already caught the public's eye. Additionally, special MCs Lee Hyori and Kang Min Kyung were teased to be emotionally immersed while watching the performances.
In particular, the latter half of the video captured Yoo Jae-suk wiping away tears while watching the stage, drawing viewers' attention. He was caught listening to the participants' stories with reddened eyes as if overwhelmed by emotion, demonstrating that the program's atmosphere focuses on human narratives and emotions beyond a simple competition.
The production team explained that this program focuses on illuminating the relationships between people and the life stories contained within them, going beyond a simple music audition. They emphasized that the method of expressing the participants' actual life narratives through music is a differentiating factor from existing audition programs.
Yoo Jae-suk has demonstrated stable hosting skills and empathy through various variety programs, and in this program, he is expected to continue his role as a host by showing deep empathy for the participants' stories.
'Happy Together' was a program that established itself as a national variety show for a long time, and this 'Haetu' is planned as a new season that expands upon that identity.
