Choi Yeo-jin Says Kim Jae-wook Gave Up Having Children to Consider Her

Actress Choi Yeo-jin opened up on SBS's "Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny" on June 23, saying that her husband, Kim Jae-wook, had given up the idea of having children out of consideration for her.

Choi said, "My husband really loves babies. But I do not love them that much. I told him we should have a baby, but he said he did not want to. He said it was because he was worried it would be hard on me." Through the remarks, she explained that Kim had set aside his own feelings because he wanted to be considerate of her.

Actress Park Ha-na and Kim Tae-sul visited Choi Yeo-jin's newlywed home as a couple. During the visit, Park spoke candidly about her own situation, saying, "I tried in vitro fertilization, but it has not worked yet. I started because I wanted twins. It was not easy, since I began without even properly taking the medication." As she said this, she appeared deeply discouraged.

Park then shared that she was trying to give herself more emotional space as the weather improved. "The days have gotten nicer, so I am trying to keep my mind at ease. I am thinking about trying again after the summer passes," she said, revealing her plan to make another attempt.

Choi also confessed the emotional strain she had experienced because of false news after her marriage. She said, "Last winter, I lost two of my dogs at the same time. I posted about it on social media, and then rumors of divorce spread with headlines saying, 'Choi Yeo-jin separates after six months of marriage.'"

She also pointed to another false report that continued to circulate. "After getting married, we lived in a caravan for a while because we were building our newlywed home. I described it as living rough, and then more false news came out saying we divorced because I was living rough," Choi said, criticizing the way such stories kept being produced.

Choi Yeo-jin married Kim Jae-wook, a businessman seven years her senior, in June of last year. It was Kim's remarriage and Choi's first marriage, and some people raised allegations of an affair. Choi addressed those claims by explaining, "I met my husband two to three years after he divorced."
