Lee Dong-wook delivers intense, blood-stained action in 'Killer's Mall Season 2'
New behind-the-scenes stills of Lee Dong-wook reveal his gritty transformation as a veteran killer in the Disney+ original series 'Killer's Mall Season 2'.
Actor Lee Dong-wook has returned with even more intense action. From aiming a gun with his entire body covered in blood to desperate struggles for survival, new behind-the-scenes stills capturing the overwhelming presence of Jung Jin-man in 'Killer's Mall Season 2' have been released.

On the 7th, Lee's agency, King Kong by Starship, released behind-the-scenes photos of the actor, who stars as Jung Jin-man in the Disney+ original series 'Killer's Mall Season 2'.
In the released photos, Jung Jin-man finds himself in a crisis after being captured by Babylon while helping Pasin (Kim Min) in Thailand. Suspended in the air and bound, he attempts to escape without losing his composure even in a life-or-death moment.
In particular, the scene where he destroys the lights in the confinement room to block visibility, only to suppress enemies with precise gunfire in the darkness, maximizes the meticulous and ruthless nature of his character. It highlights the prowess of a killer who overwhelms opponents through split-second judgment and strategy rather than mere physical strength.
To complete these scenes, Lee reportedly underwent high-intensity action training prior to filming. In addition to repeatedly practicing movements at an action school, he worked closely with the martial arts team to ensure both the safety and the perfection of the choreography.
This season required an even higher level of difficulty. Lee expressed Jung Jin-man's survival instinct by personally performing physically demanding scenes, including escaping from restraints, combat in confined spaces, and firearm sequences.
Despite a blood-stained face and physical exhaustion, Lee maintained the character's tension with his signature sharp gaze. His piercing eyes and restrained movements demonstrate that Jung Jin-man is not just a simple action character, but a veteran killer shaped by long experience and past scars.
Moving beyond the mysterious and sophisticated image he showcased in works such as 'Guardian: The Lonely and Great God' and 'Tale of the Nine Tailed', Lee is revealing a new side through raw, gritty action. Critics noted that he has expanded his acting spectrum through Jung Jin-man, a character where cold judgment and human agony coexist.
Driven by this performance, the buzz surrounding Lee and 'Killer's Mall Season 2' is heating up.
According to Fundex data for the first week of August released by Good Data Corporation, Lee ranked 1st in integrated TV/OTT appearance buzz, while the series also claimed 1st place in integrated TV/OTT drama buzz, proving intense viewer interest.
'Killer's Mall Season 2' is an action thriller revolving around the secrets of a dangerous shopping mall left behind by an uncle. The series continues the popularity of Season 1 with an expanded universe and even more intense action.
Consisting of eight episodes, Season 2 will be released on Disney+ with two episodes every Wednesday. All eyes are now on the final chapter of Jung Jin-man's story as portrayed by Lee.
