Actress Oh Yeon-soo finds peace during Jeju Island family trip

Actress Oh Yeon-soo has shared glimpses of simple yet special happiness during a recent family trip to Jeju Island. After a long, intense career as an actress, her current focus on savoring small, daily moments is capturing the attention of fans.

On the 4th, a video titled 'A hidden gem I visited following my sister-in-law, whose hometown is Jeju Island' was released on Oh's YouTube channel. In the video, Oh visited Jeju to celebrate her sister-in-law's birthday, enjoying the joys of travel and spending leisurely time with her family.

After enjoying collagen gomtang (bone soup) at a local restaurant, Oh set off to explore Jeju. She set a friendly tone for the trip, noting, "I am starting my Jeju tour following my true local Jeju sister-in-law quite closely."

Their first destination was Wonang Falls. Sharing travel tips based on her experience, Oh noted, "The path is made of wooden decks, so it wasn't difficult. Even my 80-year-old mother could visit, so you don't have to worry too much. However, you must be careful of slippery spots."

Admiring the beauty of the waterfall, she expressed feeling completely refreshed. "It's a place that reminds me of a scene from a traditional fairy tale where a fairy descends to bathe and then ascends," she said, moved by the natural beauty of Jeju.

The following day, she enjoyed the scenery while walking along Wolryeong Port. Laughing, Oh said, "Today, I'll go back up to Seoul and have a daytime drink with my sister-in-law," adding, "Good air, good weather, and a glass of cool wine—this is what happiness is."

Oh's reflections resonated deeply with many viewers.

"In the past, I lived with my screws tightened tight, but these days, I am living with them loosened," she confessed. "At first, it felt awkward and I felt impatient, wondering 'is it okay to be like this?', but once I adjusted, I found I could live well this way too."

Her words reflected a transition from a life of carrying the heavy weight of perfection and responsibility as an actress to finally embracing time for herself.
