The primary motivation for the trip was rest. "I've been so tired lately, so I'm going on vacation to get some rest," she said. The recent changes in her family life, specifically her son Song Min's entry into the workforce, also influenced the timing of the trip.

She explained, "Because Min got a job, I had to use my annual leave to go. Since this is his first year and he needs to work hard, I wanted to show him that I am working hard too." This meant she had to coordinate her vacation schedule around her son's transition into professional life.

While she traveled with a YouTube production team, the trip was not strictly planned. Oh revealed that she had no set itinerary and was traveling spontaneously, focusing on resting freely away from a tight schedule.

Despite the scale of the trip, her choice of accommodation was quite bold. Oh mentioned booking a newly opened high-end hotel, noting, "There was a newly opened hotel [here]." However, she explained that due to the cost, she opted for a standard room rather than the most expensive suite.

"The suite was too expensive, so I couldn't grab it, but I'm going with a standard room instead," she said. "It was a bit expensive. Still, I thought, 'Let's reward myself since I worked hard,' so I made a big decision to go."

The room rates at the hotel where Oh stayed are reported to be approximately 1.76 million won on weekdays, 2.46 million won on weekends, and around 3 million won during peak seasons, excluding suites. While the nightly cost is significant, Oh framed it as a form of self-reward for her long-term career.

However, the trip was not without its hurdles. Upon arriving in Japan, Oh attempted to use a rental car, but because one of her companions had forgotten their driver's license, the police were called to the scene. After waiting for over an hour, the reserved vehicle turned out to be different from what was expected, forcing the group to take a taxi to the hotel.

Despite these unexpected variables, her satisfaction with the hotel was high. "I finally got to film the room," she said, noting it was a hotel that had just opened this year. She added, "I heard so much about how beautiful this hotel is, so I wanted to come."

She did not hide the financial impact of the stay. "It was so expensive," she admitted. "I think I'll have to be frugal and refrain from shopping until next month." By sharing this, she offered a realistic look at the cost of her decision to choose such an expensive stay.

Once inside the room, however, she could not hide her delight. "I've stayed at many hotels that are considered good, but I can't remember them. But this place has an impact," Oh remarked. She continued, "It feels very restful, cozy, and comfortable. Also, since everything is new, it's clean. I want to try using everything."

She expressed significant satisfaction with the freshness of the hotel's new facilities and spaces. Rather than appearing to flaunt an expensive stay, she seemed focused on the experience of escaping daily life to find true rest.

The trip draws even more attention because it coincides with Oh's recent personal milestones. Oh married in 2007 and had a son, Song Min, but divorced in 2015. Since then, she has shared her life of raising her son with the public while balancing her acting, broadcasting, and YouTube content.

She drew significant attention in August when she announced via her YouTube channel that she was remarrying for the first time in about 11 years. Her partner is reportedly a non-celebrity. For Oh, who has managed much of her life independently for a long time, remarriage represents a major turning point.
