Son Tae-young describes poor visibility caused by Canadian wildfire smoke

Actress Son Tae-young revealed that she experienced a period of poor air quality due to smoke drifting from massive wildfires in Canada into the United States. In a vlog capturing her daily life, she shared updates on the recent recovery of the weather and described the conditions caused by the wildfire smoke.

In a video released on the 16th through her YouTube channel 'Mrs. New Jersey Son Tae-young,' Son introduced her daily routines, such as spending time in the morning with her husband, Kwon Sang-woo.

Later, while visiting Manhattan with an acquaintance, Son looked up at the clear sky and said, “The weather has gotten much better.” She then mentioned the Canadian wildfires, explaining the situation: “There was a really big wildfire in Canada, wasn't there? The smoke drifted over, so the air was bad.”

In particular, she conveyed the impact the wildfire smoke had on the atmosphere and visibility in the area, stating, “Until a few days ago, I couldn't even see the sky. Fortunately, it came out today, and I can see the sky.”

Recently, as large-scale wildfires have occurred across various parts of Canada, extensive forest areas have been damaged, and concerns were raised about deteriorating air quality as the resulting smoke crossed borders into parts of the United States. Wildfire smoke can contain fine particles and various harmful substances, causing not only air pollution but also issues such as reduced visibility.

The scene in Manhattan shared by Son had fortunately regained its clear skies. As the weather, which had been stifling due to the wildfire smoke, improved, the atmosphere felt as though everyday outings had become possible again.

Son later visited a restaurant with her acquaintance to enjoy lunch. They spent a relaxing time ordering various dishes, including steak, grilled cod, and onion soup served in bread. She also shared moments of conversation while sharing a meal with her acquaintance.

Son married actor Kwon Sang-woo in 2008, and they have one son and one daughter. She currently lives in the United States with her family and steadily shares her life abroad and her family's daily routines through YouTube.
