Song Il-gook reveals agency bankruptcy, jokes about using public transit like late Song Hae
Actor Song Il-gook shares his struggles on MBN, humorously discussing his agency's situation and how he navigates daily life.
On the 23rd, actor Song Il-gook appeared on MBN's 'Kim Ju-ha's Day & Night' and expressed that his agency had gone bankrupt.

Kim Ju-ha welcomed Song Il-gook, saying, "I heard you walked here with just a single bag during the pre-interview session." Song Il-gook replied coolly, "The agency went bankrupt. It's difficult. It's tough. That's why these days I'm always driving a BMW. Bus, metro, walk," indicating that he uses public transportation to move around.
This was a reference to the late broadcaster Song Hae, who, for the sake of health management, used to say he didn't use cars and instead used public transportation, expressing it as, "I drive a BMW."
Kim Ju-ha asked, "But if you use public transportation, wouldn't people recognize you because you're tall and have such striking features?" Song Il-gook replied, "I mainly use the subway, but out of 30 to 40 times, I'd say maybe only one person recognizes me."
When Kim Ju-ha said, "Still, you can feel those eyes, can't you? Like people are recognizing you," Song Il-gook laughed and said, "Not long ago, I had gained a lot of weight. I've lost a lot now. What's really strange is that when I was heavier, people couldn't recognize me even if I didn't wear a mask, but now that I've lost some weight, there are people who recognize me even when I'm wearing a mask."
