Song Il-gook on Triplets' Growth Spurt and Puberty Struggles
Actor Song Il-gook shares heartfelt stories about his triplets' rapid growth and the challenges of parenting through their puberty stage.
On the 19th, actor Song Il-gook appeared on KBS 1TV's 'AM Plaza' and opened up about the puberty of his triplets, Dae-han, Min-guk, and Manse.
Song Il-gook shared updates on the triplets, who are now in their second year of middle school, stating, "They are taller than me. Dae-han is 186cm, Min-guk is 183cm, and Manse is 180cm."
Actor Oh Man-seok, who appeared alongside him, added, "When the sons visited last time, I thought a basketball team had come to watch a performance."
Song Il-gook confessed to the difficulties of dealing with their puberty, saying, "The kids I used to know have disappeared, and strangers have arrived. Swear words rise up to my throat, but I can't say them."
In particular, he lamented, "I have committed many sins. That is why I feel like I am receiving them three times over. It is exactly how I treated my mother when I was young."
He continued, expressing his apologies to his mother, Kim Eul-dong, "These days, I find myself calling my mother more often unintentionally. Seeing my own past through my children makes me realize, 'Oh, that's how I was,' so I treat my mother more warmly."
