Go Soo's Special Appearance in 'Colony' Shows Care for Ex-Wife Jun Ji Hyun
Actor Go Soo delivers a powerful performance in Yeon Sang Ho's 'Colony,' playing a key character who looks out for his ex-wife, Jun Ji Hyun.
Director Yeon Sang Ho's zombie film 'Colony' has been dominating the box office since its release on the 21st, generating continuous buzz. Amidst this, actor Go Soo, who makes a special appearance, is adding weight to the film with a short but intense presence.

Go Soo plays Han Gyu-seong, a professor of biotechnology, acting as the core character who serves as the starting point of the story. Han Gyu-seong is a character who visits the Dunguri Building to introduce Chains Bio to his ex-wife, Kwon Se-jeong (Jun Ji Hyun)—who failed to be reappointed as a professor just one day before immigrating to the United States—only to get caught up in an unexpected infection outbreak.
Even until the moment he leaves, Han Gyu-seong is a warm individual who worries about his ex-wife's future and tries to connect her with a new job. Go Soo delicately portrayed this character, particularly capturing the hearts of female viewers. Although their relationship as a married couple had already ended, Go Soo naturally expressed the friendship and sense of responsibility remaining within Han Gyu-seong, who does not turn away from Kwon Se-jeong.
In the midst of an extreme crisis, Han Gyu-seong's sense of justice shone even brighter. In a desperate moment when the infected swarm in, as Choi Hyun-hee (Kim Shin Rok) collapses, he immediately turns his body along with Kwon Se-jeong to begin a rescue.
Despite his short screen time as a special appearance, Go Soo's presence was brilliant. The quick judgment shown in the face of crisis and his righteous image of taking risks for others paired well with the sincere image Go Soo has built over time, bringing the character to life effectively.
