Jin Seon-kyu Says Lee Byeong-heon Was Downcast After 'Wangsanam' Took No. 2: 'A Friend Bought Him Drinks'
Jin Seon-kyu shared a humorous story about director Lee Byeong-heon after 'Extreme Job' slipped to No. 3 in Korean box office history.
Actor Jin Seon-kyu jokingly revealed a melancholy update about director Lee Byeong-heon, the filmmaker behind the hit movie 'Extreme Job.'

At the end of a preview for 'Salon Drip,' content released on June 2 through the channel 'TEO Theo,' actors Gong Myoung and Jin Seon-kyu appeared as upcoming guests.
The two actors previously worked together as detectives in Lee Byeong-heon's box office hit 'Extreme Job.'
During the preview, Jang Do-yeon brought up the recent box office shift involving director Jang Hang-jun's film 'The Man Who Lives with the King.' The film recently surpassed 'Extreme Job' to become the second highest-grossing Korean film of all time. Jang said, "Recently, 'Wangsanam' became No. 2, and until then, 'Extreme Job' had been firmly in second place. Then suddenly Jang Hang-jun overtook Lee Byeong-heon and became No. 2." 'Wangsanam' is the abbreviated title used for 'The Man Who Lives with the King.'
When she asked how director Lee Byeong-heon reacted, Gong Myoung replied, "I don't think he would care about that kind of thing."
Jin Seon-kyu then undercut that answer with a funny disclosure. "He seemed like he didn't care, but on the day 'Extreme Job' fell to third place, we had a video call," Jin said. "He looked downcast, so someone was buying him drinks. Director Lee Byeong-heon was next to them with his head lowered." His account drew laughter.
