BTS Suga Wakes Up at 6 AM to Complete 12km Run Before Concert

The San Francisco Chronicle, a leading daily newspaper in the San Francisco area, recently covered Suga's participation in the race with a headline stating, 'BTS star Suga draws attention for participating in Bay to Breakers.'

Suga participated in 'Bay to Breakers,' a long-distance running event held in San Francisco on the 17th. This competition is a representative 12km race in the United States that has continued since 1912, and it is known for its high difficulty due to its steep hill sections.

Suga's finishing time was 1 hour, 4 minutes, and 43 seconds. His average pace was 8 minutes and 41 seconds per mile. Out of 20,530 total participants, he ranked 1,022nd, placing him within the top 5%.

After completing the morning marathon, he took the stage at Stanford Stadium that same evening to perform. As he appeared to have some discomfort in his legs toward the end of the performance, worried fans were left in shock when they later learned he had participated in a marathon.

During a Weverse Live broadcast held immediately after the concert, the BTS members revealed Suga's reckless challenge. V shared, "Yoon-gi hyung said he needed to go on a diet, but he runs too hard. He ran 10km every day."

Jimin recounted the dizzying situation, saying, "On the day of the concert, he woke up at 6 AM and went to a famous marathon. Before going up for the encore stage, his calves were so swollen that he was limping. We were very worried."
