BTS V's Remarkable Character Revealed After Military Service

BTS member V has had heartwarming stories of his time as a trainee, where he moved those around him, revealed late.
Recently, during a Weverse Live broadcast, V reminisced about his military service and shared various episodes from his training center days.
He shared that while going to attend Catholic Mass with fellow trainees, they talked about baptismal names. When V asked, “What baptismal name are you going to receive?”, the trainees replied with game character names like “Mordekaiser,” “Miss Fortune,” and “Lux,” which brought laughter to the broadcast.
A fellow trainee who watched the broadcast later shared an anecdote involving V.
The trainee recalled that when he heard news that two BTS members were enlisting, he realized he had been assigned to the same 1st platoon as V.
According to him, V gifted Korean beef (Hanwoo) to the trainees, saying they had worked hard during training. On Christmas, they also went to watch a church musical together.
V even volunteered to be the platoon leader during his trainee days. The fellow trainee noted, “A platoon leader has a lot of work and is in a position where they must comfort all the trainees, so it is a role people often regret taking in the military,” but added that V always led the platoon with a positive atmosphere.
Regarding V, the trainee shared, “He was a truly kind and positive person who always led things in a good direction. He was a big-hearted person who was both playful and affectionate. I remember him as a great senior and life coach.”
V enlisted on December 11, 2023, and after completing basic training, he served in the Special Duty Team (SDT) of the Army's 2nd Corps Military Police.
It is known that even during his SDT service, he strove to create a good environment by buying food for juniors and seniors and donating exercise equipment. It was also reported that despite his busy schedule after discharge, V visited the unit only about 40 days after his own discharge to celebrate the discharge ceremony of his direct successor.
