Twice's Jihyo addresses JYP contract rumors: 'I will make a wise choice'

Twice leader Jihyo has shared her honest feelings with fans amid ongoing speculation regarding her contract renewal with JYP Entertainment.

In the early hours of the 28th, Jihyo revealed on the fan communication platform Bubble, "I want to share daily stories as if nothing is wrong, but my heart is still very heavy, so I cannot easily start a conversation."

Recently, Jihyo has drawn significant attention due to rumors that she might leave JYP Entertainment—the agency she has been with for 21 years since her trainee days—to establish her own solo agency.

Regarding the matter, JYP Entertainment declined to provide a specific position, stating, "Twice is currently in the period of contract renewal discussions, and we are continuing consultations carefully."

As speculation continued, Jihyo cautiously addressed her fans.

"I agonized a lot and was very cautious before coming to Bubble," she said, adding, "I will organize and resolve things well so that ONCE [the fandom name] does not have to wait too long, and I will deliver news as quickly as possible."

She continued, "As the master of my own life, I will think and choose smartly and wisely, so I hope you will support and believe in me just as you always have."

Above all, she repeatedly emphasized her unwavering affection for Twice.

"I sincerely love and cherish the team called Twice," Jihyo expressed. "I believe that with that feeling alone, ONCE will understand my heart."

Finally, she left a warm message for her fans: "I am sorry for visiting after such a long time. I will come back when I can joke and share daily stories as if nothing is wrong. I hope we all get through this well by sleeping well, eating well, and resting well. Thank you always."
