Twice's Nayeon drops meaningful message amid contract renewal talks
Twice member Nayeon leaves a heartfelt message to fans following their world tour finale, sparking speculation about the group's future contract renewals.
As the group Twice successfully concludes their massive year-long world tour, member Nayeon has left a deep impression on fans by promising, "Let's meet again." Since this message comes at a time when the members' future positions and discussions regarding their second contract renewal have become a major focus in the music industry, fans' attention is naturally shifting toward the future direction of the group's activities.

On the 15th, Nayeon posted a long message on her social media (SNS) expressing her feelings after completing the world tour.
She stated, "The long, long one-year tour has come to an end," adding, "Because I wanted to finish the journey at this very place where the tour began, I spent the three days of performances with a heart more nervous and trembling than ever before."
She continued to express her gratitude, saying, "Although the tour began with both fear and excitement, looking back, I was able to complete it until the end thanks to ONCE, who always warmly supported my lacking self, and the staff who were more sincere than anyone else behind the scenes."
Furthermore, she reflected on the past year's journey, stating, "It was a time when I realized once again how precious a happiness it is to be able to stand on stage performing the dance and songs I love, and to have fans who passionately cheer for that stage."
In particular, a single comment she left while communicating with fans garnered even greater attention.
Nayeon left a short but meaningful message, "Let's meet again in a better way," promising their next activities. While she did not directly mention contract renewals or future plans, the comment is generating various interpretations as it coincides with the heightened interest surrounding the team's future status.
Twice concluded their global tour, which spanned approximately one year, by holding the finale performances of the world tour 'THIS IS FOR' for three days from the 10th to the 12th at the KSPO DOME in Seoul.
This tour, which kicked off last July at the Incheon Inspire Arena, continued through a total of 81 performances in 44 cities worldwide, including Asia, Oceania, North America, and Europe, once again proving the solid cohesion of their massive global fandom.
As they conclude such a successful tour, the industry's gaze is naturally turning toward Twice's second contract renewal discussions.
Having debuted in 2015, Twice has grown into a representative third-generation K-pop girl group, releasing numerous hit songs such as 'CHEER UP', 'TT', 'FANCY', and 'Feel Special'. Notably, in 2022, all members successfully renewed their contracts, creating an exceptional case of maintaining the full group.
Recently, various speculations have emerged regarding the future positions of some members.
Following rumors regarding the potential transfers of Jeongyeon, Tzuyu, and Chaeyoung, attention has also focused on the future steps of Jihyo, who has been with JYP Entertainment for a long time. Regarding this, JYP Entertainment is maintaining its existing position, stating, "Contract renewal discussions are currently underway, and we will provide guidance as soon as specific details are finalized."
As of now, there is nothing officially confirmed regarding the renewal status or the method of the contract.
However, in the K-pop industry, the so-called 'multi-label/multi-management' structure, which separates group activities from individual management, is becoming increasingly common. In fact, major groups such as BLACKPINK and Red Velvet have created cases where they continue full group activities while having different management systems for individual and team activities.
Amidst these changes in the industry structure, one of the most likely scenarios being discussed for Twice is a method where they expand the autonomy of individual activities for each member while continuing group activities. However, this is merely an industry observation, and specific contract forms or activity plans have not yet been officially announced.
As Twice approaches their 10th anniversary since debut, K-pop fans are focused on whether they can continue their history of being a 'full group' once again, and what kind of new beginning Nayeon's promise to "meet again" will lead to.
