Han Chang earns Master's degree, eyes doctorate after hospital closure

Oriental medicine doctor Han Chang has reached a new milestone, earning a Master's degree from Kyung Hee University after overcoming the hardship of closing his medical clinic.

On the 21st, Han shared the news of his graduation wittily via SNS, stating, "There is an old saying that you should listen to your mother when you are young, listen to the navigation lady when driving, and unconditionally listen to your wife after marriage." He added, "I firmly believed in that truth and followed my wife's words very well, which led to this wonderful result today."

"I safely received my Master's degree from Kyung Hee University today," he continued, releasing photos from the graduation ceremony. The images captured Han in his graduation cap and gown, alongside Jang Young-ran, who attended to celebrate her husband's achievement.

Han also reflected on his personal journey. "As a country boy from Suncheon who graduated from medical school in Daegu, it feels incredibly rewarding to now be wearing a Master's gown in Seoul," he said.

Acknowledging the difficulty of balancing medical practice with academic studies, he expressed deep gratitude to his wife. "I had many shortcomings while trying to balance practice and studies, and this would have been absolutely impossible without my wife, who silently dedicated herself to helping me by my side," Han told Jang.

He vowed to continue growing, saying, "Moving forward, I will live as a husband who continues to listen to his wife, and as an oriental medicine doctor who never settles and always strives to improve."

Han's academic ambitions do not end with this degree. In response to congratulatory comments, he announced his intention to pursue further studies, stating, "I will strive all the way to a doctorate," signaling his next academic challenge.

This milestone holds profound meaning for Han. He previously revealed that he closed his oriental medicine hospital, which spanned approximately 400 pyeong, last year. After facing a major transition in his medical business, he has chosen to expand his expertise by refocusing on academia.

Han is married to entertainer Jang Young-ran, and the couple has one son and one daughter. The pair frequently communicates with the public by sharing their daily lives and family stories through broadcasts and SNS. Jang's presence at the ceremony once again highlighted the couple's close bond.
