Hong Jin-kyung on Being Cast at 48: Ahn Jae-hyung Says 'As Long as You Have Personality'

On the 15th, model and entertainer Hong Jin-kyung shared her feelings after successfully completing her challenge of walking in a Paris fashion show for the first time in 30 years on the YouTube channel 'Study King Hong Jin-kyung'.

Hong Jin-kyung, who challenged the Paris Fashion Week runway through the recent Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation variety show 'Sora and Jin Kyung', shared her daily life in Paris after finishing the show.

She met with Ahn Jae-hyung, a model active in France, and discussed the fashion industry. Recalling this challenge in the Paris fashion show, she expressed her overwhelming emotions.

“Standing on the fashion show stage was so much fun. I auditioned three times and passed two. As soon as I arrived, I was signed to an agency. I wondered why they cast me, and I think it's because times have changed. In the past, they only used models in their teens, and even being in their late 20s was considered old. But now, people with more age are also going around for auditions,” she said, noting the changing atmosphere in the modeling industry.

Ahn Jae-hyung agreed, stating, “Nowadays, even if you are older, it seems designers pick you if you have a unique atmosphere that is uniquely yours.”
