Comedian Jeong Seon-hui looked back on her past, candidly sharing everything from the behind-the-scenes story of her close friend Hong Jin-kyung's divorce announcement to the overwhelming emotions she felt at the wedding of the late Choi Jin-sil's daughter, Choi Jun-hee.

On the MBC variety program 'Radio Star' broadcast on the 8th, Jeong, who recently launched a YouTube channel, shared her philosophy for running the channel along with stories about long-standing acquaintances.
Regarding the reason she started YouTube, Jeong said, "I usually prefer a calm daily life that doesn't fluctuate," adding, "I told the production company that I wanted to create a channel in that direction. I thought it would be worth trying if it were a quiet and comfortable channel." She explained that she wanted to create a space to calmly record her daily life rather than producing provocative content.
However, something unexpected happened. Her close friend Hong Jin-kyung contacted her directly, expressing her wish to first reveal her divorce on Jeong's YouTube channel.
Recalling that moment, Jeong said, "Hong Jin-kyung told me, 'I want to talk about the divorce not as a desperate event, but as just one chapter of life. Since you have watched our couple for a long time, I felt we could talk about it together.'"
She continued, "Many people watched that content, and I was relieved that they seemed to accept the story of the divorce not as a heavy incident, but as a natural process of turning a page."
She also mentioned the difference in their personalities. "Jin-kyung always tells me, 'Unnie, you need to explode with more energy,' but I actually prefer a life where I don't receive much attention like I do now," she said with a laugh, noting, "I have about 70,000 subscribers on YouTube, and I am perfectly satisfied with that amount."
She added, "Right now, I am happiest living at a pace of celebrating the birthdays of people I like and spending time with precious people," and joked, making the studio erupt in laughter, "If I ever remarry, I will make the announcement on Hong Jin-kyung's channel, not mine."
The broadcast also revealed behind-the-scenes stories of attending the wedding of the late Choi Jin-sil's daughter, Choi Jun-hee.
"We all went through such a difficult season together," Jeong said. "Seeing the little girl I have watched since she was young getting married before my eyes was truly overwhelming."
She shared her emotions from that time, saying, "Hong Jin-kyung came to the wedding wearing sunglasses, so I told her to take them off, but her eyes were already red. Seeing that child grow up so bravely and wonderfully to start a new family made us all choke up. She was truly admirable."
Jeong, along with Lee So-ra, Uhm Jung-hwa, Lee Young Ja, and Hong Jin-kyung, are well known for having maintained a special friendship with the late Choi Jin-sil. Even after the sudden news of her passing, they have served as a reliable support system, looking after the siblings Choi Hwan-hee and Choi Jun-hee like family for a long time.
Currently, Choi Jun-hee is active as an influencer and has started a family with a non-celebrity husband, while her older brother Choi Hwan-hee continues his career as a singer. Jeong's confession on this day left a deep impression on viewers, reminding them once again of the meaning of connections and family-like friendships forged through enduring long periods of time together.
