Jun Hyun-moo opens up about losing friends to ex's obsession

Entertainer Jun Hyun-moo is drawing attention by candidly revealing his past experiences with "obsession and control" in romantic relationships.

On the MBN and SBS Plus variety program 'The Psychopath I Met,' airing on the 9th, Jun will disclose his personal dating history while discussing the dangers of relationships that stifle a partner under the guise of love.

'The Psychopath I Met' is a true-crime thriller talk show that analyzes real-life cases of individuals with antisocial tendencies, such as psychopaths, sociopaths, and narcissists. The program continues to generate buzz by reconstructing shocking real-life incidents paired with expert psychological analysis.

In this upcoming broadcast, the theme "Discovery of Romance" will explore cases of individuals dominating and controlling their partners. Notably, statement analyst Kim Min-seo, who has investigated notorious violent criminals such as Kang Ho-sun, Oh Won-chun, and Kim Gil-tae, will appear to analyze the mechanics of gaslighting and psychological dominance.

While watching one of the cases, Jun found himself reflecting on his own past.

He confessed to the difficulties he faced under the excessive control of a former partner, stating, "I was that kind of person." Jun revealed that he had to constantly account for his daily life, noting, "They would video call me wherever I went," which eventually caused him to grow distant from his friends.

He further shared how the relationship impacted his social circle, noting, "The phrase I heard most often after breaking up was 'Hyun-moo, welcome back.'"

Realizing that the relationship described in the program was obsession rather than affection, Jun's eyes welled with tears. Delivering a firm message regarding dangerous relationships that confuse love with control, he said, "Speaking as someone who has experienced it, that is not love."
